How we chose
We ranked by how much you can do from the watch itself, then by price and requirements, using each listing, website and repository as of 20 October 2026.
Herald is third because its Watch app is a glanceable roster rather than a reply tool. The iPhone holds every connection and sends the watch a snapshot, so it shows all your bots, across computers, with no setup of its own. If you mostly want to see who is working, who is done and who needs you, it does that well. If you want to answer from your wrist, pick Conduit or Companion.
Every option here needs an iPhone, and the messaging gateway needs Hermes’s gateway running on your computer. Hermex, a popular iPhone app, has no Apple Watch app, so it isn’t listed. Read more about Herald on Apple Watch and Hermes Pet.
Questions
Does Herald’s Apple Watch app need the iPhone?
Yes. The iPhone holds every connection and credential and sends the watch a snapshot of your roster. The watch never connects to Hermes itself.
Which Apple Watch models work?
It depends on the watchOS version each app needs: watchOS 10 for Herald, Hermes Conduit and WhatsApp, and watchOS 26 for Companion for Hermes Agent, BotBus and Telegram’s watch app.
Is there an official Hermes Agent app for Apple Watch?
No. Nous Research hadn’t released any mobile app as of 20 October 2026, and hasn’t announced Apple Watch support.
